Engineered around RYOBI’s high-performance 80V platform, this powerful riding mower combines three brushless motors with three included 80V 10Ah lithium-ion batteries to deliver performance equivalent to a 21-horsepower gas engine.
The mower is capable of cutting up to approximately two acres on a full charge, making it suitable for large yards, estates, and demanding residential lawn-care applications. Once the job is complete, the included Hyper Charger can recharge the battery system in 2.5 hours or less under suitable charging conditions.
A durable 42-inch, 10-gauge fabricated steel cutting deck provides the strength needed for repeated mowing, while the CROSS CUT multi-blade system uses four steel blades to produce a clean, consistent finish. Multiple blade and drive-speed settings let the operator adjust performance according to grass height, lawn conditions, and preferred mowing pace.
The traditional steering-wheel and pedal-operated tractor layout offers familiar, comfortable control. An integrated LCD control panel displays important information such as remaining battery charge, estimated runtime, cutting speed, drive speed, and headlight status. Bluetooth connectivity also allows compatible functions to be accessed through the RYOBI Riding Mower mobile application.
For added convenience, the tractor includes bright LED headlights, two USB charging ports, cup holders, multiple onboard storage compartments, and front and rear tow-hitch mounting points. It can be used for more than mowing, supporting compatible lawn carts and selected tow-behind yard accessories.
The mower is configured for side discharge and can also support mulching or grass collection when equipped with the separately sold RYOBI mulch kit or soft-top bagger. With quiet electric operation and significantly fewer routine maintenance requirements than a conventional gasoline tractor, the VoltRider 42X provides a cleaner and more convenient approach to large-yard maintenance.
